Finding your ring size

Finding your ring size:
1)Can be frustrating if not guided correctly!

2)Can be very simple if you know few techniques!

Following are few methods that we suggest for obtaining the correct ring size:

Method 1: If you are currently using a ring:

1) First take the ring, ensure that its shape is still ‘round’.

2) Take a ruler, or a measuring tape, and measure the inside diameter of the ring, in inches or mm.

3) Or you can even keep the ring on a white paper, trace the inside of the ring on the paper and then measure the diameter.

4) Click to see this illustration to know exactly what to measure!

5) Once you have the measurement, simply look up in our ring size chart to see which size matches closest to your ring size!

6) Remember: you must measure the inside of the ring in this method!

Method 2: If you do not have a ring:

1) If you do not have a ring, cut a piece of cardboard or paper, which is around 4-6mm wide and around 4-5 inches long.

2) Wrap this around the bottom of your desired finger, just like a ring...

3) Click to see this illustration to know exactly how to measure!

4) Using a pen or pencil, mark the exact point where the paper meets the other end.

5) This is the circumference of your ring.

6) Now simply look in the ring size chart to see which size matches closest to your ring size!

7) Remember: Since you mark the exact point where the paper meets, keep around 2-3mm extra while conforming your ring size from the chart, because since its going to be a metal ring, it needs a little space to ‘climb down’ to your finger. (Your knuckles are generally slightly thick than the bottom of your finger).

For e.g. if the paper you wrap around your finger meets each other at 60mm (6cm.), take the distance as 62 or 63mm, depending on the size of your knuckles.

Method 3: If the ring is for someone else, and you have their ring:

1) If you have access to a ring worn by this person, you can simply follow method 1 above.

2) Be sure though, that the ring you have, is worn by the person on the same finger that you are going to give the ring for! Different fingers have slightly different measurements.

Method 4: If the ring is for her, but you DON’T have a sample ring:

1) This is a tough scenario! What you can do best is ask the person’s best friend, sibling, etc. for the ring size or a sample ring.

2) If it’s for her, ask her closest friends, because sometimes women try on each other's Jewelry, or they even buy Jewelry for one another.

3) If she is a deep sleeper - use our cardboard\paper method to measure her finger while she is sleeping. ;)

Method 5: The easiest of all methods:

1) Simply order our free ring sizer!

2) With this ring sizer, you can know anyone’s ring size instantly, and since this is a real ring sizer, you can keep or share it with your family and friends for further purchases!

REMEMBER ONE THING WHEN YOU CONFIRM YOUR RING SIZE:

If the ring you wish to order has a wide ring band you should allow for a slightly bigger size, somewhere between a half to 1 full size bigger. Which means while placing your order, select a size that is half or one full size bigger than what you measured!

And of course, if you are even slightly confused, just get in touch with us!
