Before selecting your Diamond Quality, you should know the following points:
When you select a Diamond(s) of the Top Quality, you are ensuring the best possible luster and brilliance for your jewelry.
Conversely when you select a Medium Quality Diamond(s) for the same design, you are slightly sacrificing the overall beauty of the design, but at the same time, reducing the cost of the jewelry.
USE TOP QUALITY DIAMONDS:
1) When there are no budget constraints, and you wish to have the best Diamonds in your jewelry.
2) If the particular piece of jewelry has few Diamonds. (For e.g. jewelry with 3-6 Diamonds, or Solitaire Jewels)
3) When the Diamonds in the jewelry are pave-set. (Pave set = Many Diamonds set close to each other)
4) For ALL Diamond Bangles and Bracelets.
USE MEDIUM QUALITY DIAMONDS:
1) When you wish to reduce the overall cost of your jewelry.
2) If the particular piece of jewelry has numerous 'very small' Diamonds. 'Very Small' = Less than 0.02ct each. (For e.g. Jewels with more than 30-40 Diamonds of 0.005 to 0.01ct each)
3) When the Diamonds in the jewelry are spaced apart from each other.
4) For Zodiac, Alphabet Pendants, and other ‘non-premium’ jewelry.
Remember:
- Higher quality Diamonds always give a superior luster and brilliance.
- Medium quality Diamonds can be used where individual Diamond size is very small.
- If you are unsure about the Diamond quality, always select the top quality Diamonds.
