At Light of Venus there are 3 steps to Make Your Own Ring:
1. Selecting your design and setting.
2. Selecting your Diamond.
3. Selecting the metal, its color, the prongs, etc.
Once you are done with the above, you can finalize your purchase with the Buy Now or Add to Shopping Bag buttons.
STEP 1: Selecting your ring setting
Ring setting simply means the 'design' or framework of your ring. It just means the 'non-diamond' part of your ring.
There are many varieties in this; from a single Diamond in the setting, 2 to 4 Side-Stones in the setting, designs with Rubies or Sapphires, etc.
Select the setting you like, click on it to move ahead.
STEP 2: Selecting the Diamond
The most important element of the Ring!
(Note: You can select your Diamond only after selecting your ring setting)
We have given you many options to choose from G.I.I., I.G.I. to G.I.A. Certified Diamonds. You can select right from a 0.15 ct Diamond, to 2 cts Diamond. (ct = carat\carats)

You can view this report BEFORE buying the Diamond!

STEP 3: Selecting the metal, prongs, etc. and finalizing the ring.
Metal means the precious metal in which you wish to make the ring design.

18ct Yellow Gold: The ultimate in precious metals! This legendary, extremely loved metal immediately gives out a sense of warmth, and 'belonging'!
And yes, all our Yellow Gold jewels are made in Hallmarked Gold, in accordance with the highest quality standards in the world!
18ct White Gold: : The new metal on the block! White Gold is made by mixing Yellow Gold with white metals like Palladium. The presence of these white metals makes the Gold alloy give out a crisp, fresh white color just like Platinum, but without the excessive cost.
And yes, all our White Gold Jewels are Hallmarked too!
Platinum: : The Most Precious Metal!
Select Platinum as your ring metal if you wish to adorn a Diamond Ring made in an extremely beautiful, enormously tough and exceptionally rare metal, Platinum!
Where Gold and Silver might get slightly worn off due to daily wear and tear, Platinum is so tough that it ordinarily doesn’t get chipped off like Gold or Silver. Secondly, it has a natural white color which particularly goes with the whiteness of a Diamond.
At Light of Venus, we use the highest quality Platinum alloy, with a purity of 95%, namely, 950 Platinum.
Misc. tips for the buyer.
Diamond Size: This is a very important consideration while making your ring. Though the size of the Diamond directly affects its price, it is the QUALITY of the Diamond that decides the ‘price range’ of the Diamond!
A Diamond of poor quality, with many inclusions, with bad cutting proportions, but big in size will be extremely cheaper than a top quality smaller Diamond.
Weigh the quality parameters of the Diamonds in question before making your decision of the size!

Ring Engraving: : You can engrave your ring for free! Light of Venus offers this highly personalized service completely free!
Simply select the 'engrave inside the ring' option and tell us what you would like to engrave inside the ring! You can have a total of 20 characters, including spaces, engraved inside your ring.
Platinum Prongs: : If you decide to make your ring in Yellow or White Gold, we offer the ultimate upgrade for your ring, Platinum Prongs!
It means your ring design will be made in Gold, while the prongs will be made in Platinum.
'Prongs' are the metal bars that hold your Diamond in place. Simply speaking, it is due to these prongs that your Diamond doesn’t fall off!
Platinum is tremendously tough compared to Gold, and if you make your ring in Platinum Prongs, you offer your precious Diamond the best security it can get!
With this feature, you can make your ring in Yellow or even White Gold, while the Diamond is securely held by the tough Platinum!
Completing you ring purchase.
After completing the above steps, you are taken to the checkout process, which involves the following 4 pages:
1. Shopping bag page: Where you can view the contents of your shopping bag.
2. Login / Register page: Where you have to register a new account, or login to your account.
3. Confirm order page: Where you can once again view and confirm your order, and select the shipping destination.
