To keep Light of Venus a convenient, enjoyable and a safe portal, we have taken some powerful security measures while processing your payments.
Our payment gateway is provided by E-Billing Solutions, so whenever you click on the “Proceed” button to complete your payment, we transfer you to EBS’ secure website,
where you can enter your credit card details in a highly secure web environment.
What does highly secure mean?
It means that whatever information you might enter on that page, like credit card details, address, etc. gets transferred to the payment processors via encryption technology,
meaning no one can access this information except the transacting servers.
And finally, since your credit card information is never stored anywhere and is used only once to complete the transaction,
we assure you that you can safely use your credit cards for payments at Light of Venus.
NOTE: To view the encryption level and certification of the EBS payment page, you can click on the Verisign® or PCI® logos located at the bottom of the page.
Since all our payments are processed in INR, we provide a unique solution for global shoppers to
view the approximate price in their own currency.
You can select your currency from a drop-down currency list located at the top left side of the website, on all pages.
Whenever you select a currency other than INR, our website converts this amount into your preferred currency based on
that day’s currency conversion rate.
NOTE: We update the currency conversion rate daily. It may or may not match the rate in popular currency conversion
software’s, tools or websites.
But, more importantly;
Whenever you select any non INR currency and complete your order, the payment for that order is still processed in INR.
Hence, the price you see in your currency is only an approximation of the actual amount charged.
The conversion rate at which the credit card processing bank converts this INR amount into your selected currency may or may not
match the final amount shown to you on our website, due to actual rate differences.
So even though our shopping bag might show a specific “total amount payable” in your preferred currency,
the amount that will actually be processed may or may not match this amount.
This is because the processing bank’s currency conversion tools are beyond our control, and there might be very minor rate differences.
Hence we do request all shoppers to avail of this currency conversion utility, but remember to use it only as a tool,
an indicator of the approximate amount to be charged.
While completing your order, check the amount in INR, as this is the exact amount that will be charged on your card.
Questions asked by our shoppers:
Q: “When I selected the net banking payment mode, my bank's transfer page showed that I was paying someone named E-Billing Solutions?? Who are they? Am I not supposed to pay you”?
Ans: E-Billing Solutions is our partner in processing your payments. Hence, whenever you select the net banking option, your funds are first transferred to E-Billing Solutions account, and then to our account.
Hence, be assured when you complete your order with the net banking option, because even though the funds have to “travel” a bit to reach us, it does not slow down your order processing time.
Q: “When I selected the “pay by credit card” option, why do I go to another website to make the payment?”
“Who is secure.ebs.in?”
Ans: secure.ebs.in is the secure web address of E-Billing Solutions. As we earlier said, we have partnered with E-Billing Solutions Ltd. to process all payments.
So after you are transferred to their website, they collect your credit card or any other payment information on our behalf.
Q: “Why cannot I enter my credit card details on your site? After all, I am buying from your website, right?”
Ans: As with all marketplaces, the internet is full of notorious people looking out for opportunities to steal credit card numbers and data.
Hence we re-direct you to our partner’s website, so you can enter your credit card details in a safe and secure web environment.
Simply speaking, the important information you enter on that page (your credit card details) is transmitted to Visa/MasterCard servers through state-of-the-art encryption technology, so that no one can hack, steal or read your sensitive information, making your purchase safe.
Q: "Your website showed the total order amount as $400, but my card was charged around $405? What’s going on??"
Ans: The order amount shown to you, $400 was an indicator, an approximate figure shown to you so that you can get an idea as to the cost of that item in your own currency.
When your card was actually processed, it was processed in INR, Indian Rupee, but when your bank transferred this amount in dollars, there might have been a slight difference in currency conversion rates. Hence, you see the difference in the order amount and billed amount.
Due to this, when you are checking out, always check the ‘final amount payable’ in INR.
